Laying low and hiding from process servers does not mean skipping out on bills. Clearly distracted by events of this past year and proof of the guilty fleeth when none pursueth, it seems all this hubris, Randy Andy forgot to pay his mountain mortgage candy.
In late December 2019, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson sent out a Christmas card acknowledging that they had a pretty bad year. The card, which was also signed by their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, didn’t go into any of the specifics of what made their year so rough. But it was pretty clear that the scandal surrounding Andrew’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the allegations of misconduct directed at him personally, and his resignation from his public role as a royal had taken a toll on them all. (Andrew has denied all allegations of misconduct.) On Wednesday, however, the Swiss newspaper Le Temps reported on another reason why December might have been rough on the family: Andrew and Sarah missed a $6 million payment on their chalet in the exclusive ski village of Verbier, according to the chalet’s former owner.
