Arising behind the landmark facade of the Art Deco Steinway Building, a new spire tops out near 1428 feet tall. The narrowest structure ever built to rise that tall its spot directly south of the middle of Central Park offer symmetrical views unobstructed.

The construction was not without controversy the use of non union labor caused an inflated rubber rat to be on display on the street in front of the Steinway building.

Along with the super tall structures completed at 1,400' at 432 Park Avenue (57th and Park), 1000' at 157 West 57th Street and 1,550' at 220 West 57th Street, the cross town artery once better known for Carnegie Hall, art galleries and advertising agencies has been renamed Billionaires Row.
