Some interior designers go above and beyond to ensure their clients have a living space that makes them happy. But if recent allegations made by prosecutors in the U.K. are true, one design company has been trafficking in far more than tasteful decoration.
Currently, six men stand trial before the Leicester Crown Court, accused of smuggling nearly 20 kilos of cocaine worth more than £10 million ($14 million) from Amsterdam to the U.K. How’d they do it? By fitting the contraband inside furniture, of course. That sort of ingenuity led prosecutor David Herbert to concede that the group "were international drug traffickers of a serious caliber," according to the Leicester Mercury.
