An eye opener of a sale in Hong Kong.

Sotheby’s will auction one of the most important single-owner wine collections in Hong Kong this March, featuring nearly 17,000 of the finest bottles from Burgundy, Champagne, Rhône, Bordeaux, and Italy, the auction house announced Monday.

Dubbed Tran-scend-ent Wines, the sale has a total estimated value of between HK$147 million and HK$206 million (between US$19 million and US$26 million), the highest estimate ever for wine auctions, Sotheby’s says.
