Last fall, Prince Andrew spoke candidly about his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a sit-down interview with Newsnight's Emily Maitlis. During the nearly 50-minute broadcast, the Duke of York shared how he and Epstein met, and revealed that while he does not regret the friendship, he does feel he "let the side down"—the "side," being the royal family.

The Queen's second son also said he has “no recollection of ever meeting” Virginia Roberts (now Giuffre), who claims that she had sex with the Prince three times, an accusation Prince Andrew has denied multiple times. And he notably did not express sympathy for Epstein's victims.
