Was 'The Sopranos' Really Doing Product Placement for Cars and Soft Drinks?.

We all remember how Reeses Pieces came out of nowhere, vaulted into prominence by a few select phrases in the movie E.T. by Stephen Spielberg. Upon further review the Sopranos episodes from 1999-2007 are loaded with similar phrases designed to make sales happen.

Who can forget Tony flipping his SUV over in a panic attack but afterwards saying, "If it wasn't for the Cadillac Escalade I would be dead".
