Perhaps overlooked by the Battle of Winterfell filmed at night in Northern Ireland, a much more accessible location also made cinematic history.

A place popularized by the Hudson River School appears to have been the site for the climax of the smash movie "Avengers Endgame."

The Mills Mansion of Staatsburg NY better known for a sleepy state park, bucolic views of the Hudson River once painted by the artist Francis Silva and one time white elephant of the Phipps Family survived the cutting room floor and serve as backdrop for the highest selling movie in history.

Upstate New Yorkers going to see “Avengers: Endgame” might feel right at home. That’s because scenes in the movie were reportedly filmed right here in Upstate New York.

Fans of Marvel’s Avengers films might remember that in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Captain America, Iron Man and the rest of the gang move their headquarters from New York City to a compound at an unspecified “Upstate New York” location. For that film, no locations in Upstate New York were actually used.
