A real billionaire, indeed the very inspiration for the Bobby Axelrod character on the SHOWTIME cable drama BILLIONS, Steven A. Cohen has decided to purchase the NY Mets baseball team for a figure rumored to be around $2.5 billion. This transaction will take place over five years after which the much disliked by NY fans Wilpon Family will retire to their bagel shop in Great Neck, Long Island where imbecile Jeff Wilpon can do his best at schmearing bagels for his quarrelsome customers.

Meanwhile the fawning NY Post has discovered that Steve Cohen is a smart collector. As Met fans celebrate this transaction, the Post in anticipation of the future buying sprees the new owner will do to make the club dominant, looks back at Steve's art purchases over the last 20 years.

Steve Cohen, the $13.6 billion hedge-funder set buy a majority share of the Amazin’s, is a free spender who has amassed a museum’s worth of jaw-dropping art while hobnobbing with the likes of Guy Fieri and A-Rod.

After conquering Wall Street and collecting luxury properties and $1 billion in artwork the way some people collect, well, baseball cards — Cohen is set to take his other lifelong passion to the big leagues.
